About our school...
Shieldhill Primary School is a non-denominational primary school situated in the rural village of Shieldhill, which is approximately 5 miles to the south of Falkirk. The school provides education from Nursery to Primary 7.
The school was old-fashioned and in need of considerable renovation. Instead, it was decided to build a larger, more up-to-date facility on the other side of the road. The new school opened in October 1964 as a two-storey building. The large playground includes a Trim Trail and MUGA.
The Parent Council and P.T.A. are extremely supportive. The P.T.A. raises additional funding for the school, adding to the quality and variety of resources and experiences which we can offer to the children. This is often achieved in partnership with the children.
