Environment

Our environments and learning spaces will reflect the culture, skills, interests and needs of each child and family.

We aim to provide an environment where children can play in spaces, that offer them similarities, connecting them to home and to their peers.

Experiences

Children thrive best in an inclusive environment based on mutual respect where their uniqueness is valued.

Through learning for life skills children can be helped in making informed choices developing a responsible attitude while encouraging a love for learning.

Interactions

Good adult and child interactions are respectful, playful, enjoyable, enabling and rewarding, through these the adult respects all children with individual rights.

We aim to develop personal bonds with our children and their families.  Encouraging positive play interactions, that builds on exsiting skills and interests.

Marvellous Meals

Mealtimes provide multiple opportunities for all areas of development, for example, learning to use & manipulate cutlery supports fine motor skills; as children grow, they begin to use their fingers in a pincer grip, gaining better control through pencil/scissor control etc. Gross movements are also supported through mealtimes; children can practise and develop these through self-service.

Outdoor Experiences

Outdoor experiences in a nursery include physical activities like obstacle courses, tree climbing, den building, sensory play in mud kitchens, nature exploration through bug hunts, nature walks and gardening.  These experiences foster physical development, social skills, curiousity and mental well-being.
